WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday blamed the "radical leftists" for the deadly shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas, Texas.
Condemning the attack as despicable, Trump wrote on Truth Social that the brave men and women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, but they are facing an "unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists."
"This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to 'Nazis'," Trump said.
"The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, must be stopped," he said.
The U.S. president said he will be signing an executive order this week to "dismantle these Domestic Terrorism Networks."
One detainee was killed and two others critically injured in Wednesday's shooting, while no officers were harmed. The Mexican Consulate in Dallas confirmed that one of the victims in critical condition is a citizen of Mexico.
Officials have not yet revealed the motive of the shooter, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot. ■
