LOS ANGELES, July 31 (Xinhua) -- NASA and SpaceX on Thursday called off the planned launch of the Crew-11 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The mission was scheduled to lift off at 12:09 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time (1609 GMT) aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
According to a SpaceX live broadcast, the countdown was halted at the last minute due to thick cloud cover over the launch site.
NASA said the next available launch window opens on Friday.
The mission will carry NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov to the ISS. ■
