NEW YORK, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 17 km NNW of Locumba, Peru, at 19:23:14 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 116.5 km, was initially determined to be at 17.46 degrees south latitude and 70.81 degrees west longitude. ■
