BEIJING, March 22 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Roosevelt Skerrit, prime minster of the Commonwealth of Dominica, will pay an official visit to China from March 23 to 29.
Roosevelt Skerrit, 52, was elected to parliament in 2000 and has been re-elected ever since. From 2000 to 2004, he served as Minister of Education and Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Affairs.
He was inaugurated as Dominican prime minister in January 2004 and has held the position to date. He has been leader of the Labour Party of Dominica since February 2004. This will be Skerrit's second official visit to China. ■
