NEW YORK, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Vanuatu islands at 20:47:21 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 18.49 degrees south latitude and 167.99 degrees east longitude. ■
