TEGUCIGALPA, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people were killed and 19 others were injured when an intercity bus fell into a ravine on a highway east of the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa on Tuesday, the Fire Department said.
The accident occurred on the highway that connects the capital with the department of Olancho, where at kilometer 30, the bus went off the road and fell into a ravine in Talanga.
The Honduran Red Cross, Armed Forces and Fire Department were all at the accident site.
Emergency services were working to transfer the injured by land and air to hospitals in Tegucigalpa. ■
