NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted eastern New Guinea region, Papua New Guinea, at 20:53:46 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 64.2 km, was initially determined to be at 5.45 degrees south latitude and 145.91 degrees east longitude. ■
