NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Papua New Guinea region at 20:53:41 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 5.43 degrees south latitude and 145.81 degrees east longitude. ■
