LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- A scarecrow festival is being held in the U.S. state of Montana this week to celebrate the autumn season and the upcoming Halloween in the country.
The annual event, which started in 2005, has grown over the past years to be one of the signature festivals in Stevensville, Montana, drawing lots of participating artists and visitors.
Scarecrow entries made by families, individuals and organizations are lined along the bike path welcoming people into the town.
Winners of the spooky and popular scarecrow festival were announced on Thursday.
The event runs through this Saturday. ■
