NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea at 19:21:13 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 5.13 degrees south latitude and 152.72 degrees east longitude. ■
