LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Negotiators for Hollywood's major studios and striking film and television writers plan to meet again on Friday, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) said in a statement.
The two sides held more than 10 hours of talks on Thursday but failed to reach an agreement to end a months-long standoff over wages and the use of artificial intelligence, local media reported.
In May, about 11,500 WGA members went on strike to protest pay and working conditions in the era of streaming TV.
The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The actors' union went on strike in July, plunging Hollywood into two simultaneous work stoppages for the first time in 63 years. ■
