WASHINGTON, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Key U.S. real estate metrics are slated to be released in the week after Christmas, amid record interest rates and fears of a recession.
On Tuesday, S&P global is set to publish October's S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller National Home Price Index.
According to the index released last month, U.S. home prices slid 1 percent in September from August, the first instance in almost four years in which prices dropped for three consecutive months.
On Wednesday, the National Association of Realtors is slated to release data on November's home sales.
According to the National Association of Realtors, pending home sales in the country sank 4.6 percent in October from the prior month, as increasing mortgage rates took a toll on demand; and dropped 37 percent from the same period last year, the steepest drop on record. ■
