SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Costco Wholesale Corporation reported net sales of 16.85 billion U.S. dollars for the retail month of July, the four weeks ending July 31, 2022, an increase of 10.8 percent from 15.21 billion dollars last year.
For the forty-eight weeks ending July 31, 2022, the company reported net sales of 205.19 billion dollars, an increase of 16.4 percent from 176.30 billion dollars during the similar period of the previous year, the company announced Wednesday.
Costco currently operates 834 warehouses, including 575 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 107 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 31 in Japan, and 29 in the United Kingdom.
The company opened its first store in Shanghai of China in August 2019, and is working on opening its second store in the city. ■
