CHICAGO, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange fell on Monday as the U.S. dollar strengthened.
The most active gold contract for April delivery fell 14.4 U.S. dollars, or 0.74 percent, to close at 1,939.8 dollars per ounce.
Silver for May delivery fell 41.9 cents, or 1.64 percent, to close at 25.196 dollars per ounce. Platinum for April delivery fell 17.4 dollars or 1.73 percent, to close at 991.1 dollars per ounce. ■
