HANOI, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese citizens can enter Russia without visas and stay for up to 30 days under a one-year visa exemption scheme effective from Oct. 15, the Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.
The policy covers business trips, tourism, event participation and transit to third countries, but excludes travel for employment, journalistic activities, study or permanent residence, the report said.
The two countries currently operate more than 70 direct flights per week, connecting Russian localities with Vietnam's capital Hanoi, the central city of Da Nang, the central province of Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City. ■
