MINSK, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Belarus on Friday issued a protest note to Ukraine over a drone attack on Thursday on a Belarusian-registered cargo vehicle in Russia's Bryansk region that left a Belarusian citizen seriously injured.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry summoned the acting charge d'affaires of Ukraine in Belarus, Ivan Novitsky, to deliver the protest note, which stated that Kiev had been previously warned about the inadmissibility of such actions. The vehicle's ownership was clear, and Belarus reserves the right to view the attack as deliberate, the ministry said.
The Belarusian side warned the Ukrainian authorities not to repeat similar actions. It emphasized that responsibility for the consequences lies entirely with the Ukrainian authorities and reiterated Belarus's right to take adequate measures in response. ■
