MOSCOW, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- The exact time of a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump has yet to be determined, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"When the exact time of the conversation is agreed, and it takes place, we will inform you. We will hide nothing," he told reporters.
On Wednesday, Trump said he had arranged a call with Putin to discuss the situation over a suspected case of pneumonic plague after a 28-year-old laboratory worker at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East died Friday from pneumonia of an unknown origin, a case that has prompted international concern.
Russia's Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) said on Wednesday that there was no epidemic risk.
Medical observation has been completed for more than 90 percent of people who came into contact with the deceased patient. No health abnormalities associated with infectious diseases were detected, while nearly 5,000 laboratory tests found no dangerous pathogenic microorganisms, according to Rospotrebnadzor.
Russia had previously informed the World Health Organization that there was no evidence that pneumonic plague played a part in the death of the lab employee. ■
