MINSK, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition showcasing achievements of Chinese modernization was held in the capital of Belarus on Tuesday.
More than 400 representatives from the governments and various sectors of society of Belarus and China attended the event.
Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said that in less than 80 years, China has transformed itself from an agricultural country into an industrial and technological powerhouse and an important contributor to global economic growth.
China has also set an example in poverty alleviation and improving people's well-being, he said.
Snopkov further said the Chinese people are steadily advancing toward the "Two Centenary Goals" and the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. Belarus, as China's all-weather comprehensive strategic partner, is sincerely pleased with China's progress, he added.
Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan said Chinese modernization is based on China's national conditions while drawing on the experience of other countries. It preserves its historical culture while integrating modern civilization, benefiting the Chinese people while promoting common development around the world, he said.
China and Belarus are all-weather comprehensive strategic partners, Zhang said, adding that China is willing to use the exhibition as a window to share its experiences in modernization and promote deeper and more substantive cooperation between the two countries in various fields based on mutual respect and mutual benefit, to better benefit their peoples.
