LONDON, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- A tanker was hit by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, causing a fire onboard that has been extinguished, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Friday.
The company security officer of a vessel reported this incident, the UKMTO said, noting that all crew are reported safe, while the environmental impact is unconfirmed at present. ■
