MOSCOW, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Russian forces carried out a series of strikes against Ukrainian military and logistics facilities, the Russian Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
According to an official statement, the strikes targeted military-industrial sites, seaports, vessels and logistics hubs in Kiev, Mykolaiv and Odesa.
A facility producing unmanned boats and drones was struck in Kiev, while a dry cargo ship carrying military supplies was hit on its way to the port of Odesa, the ministry said.
Multiple targets in Mykolaiv and the surrounding region were also struck, including four fuel and lubricant storage tanks at seaports, a military property storage facility, five military logistics centers, three military storage facilities and an electrical substation supplying power to the port.
The strikes also hit logistics facilities at the Starokozache automobile border crossing point, which is used to deliver military cargo to Ukraine, the ministry said. ■
