SARAJEVO, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- A knife assault at a school in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Friday morning left two female students injured, local media Klix reports.
The incident occurred at the Gornja Tuzla school in Tuzla Canton. Local police were alerted at around 9:25 a.m. to reports of noise coming from the schoolyard. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a girl had used a knife to injure two other girls.
The injured students were immediately transported to hospital by an ambulance following the attack. The victims are in stable condition, with injuries that are not life-threatening.
School principal Azra Feukic said the administration promptly contacted the parents, notified the relevant authorities, and will continue to act in accordance with the legally prescribed procedures.
The 15-year-old female suspect allegedly responsible for the attack is now under police supervision, and an investigation is underway. ■
