FRANKFURT, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Several explosive devices were found on Tuesday at a substation in the eastern German state of Brandenburg, not far from the Jaenschwalde coal-fired power plant, according to the German press agency dpa.
Emergency personnel defused several devices at the scene, the dpa reported.
Grid operator 50Hertz said that the power supply was not interrupted despite the incident. Police reported that potential damage to a power line had been detected and there was no danger to the public.
According to the German media, it was apparently intended to trigger a widespread power outage at the coal-fired power plant. ■
