BELGRADE, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- A 30-year-old Russian national suspected of killing three men at a shooting range in central Montenegro killed himself early Tuesday after a standoff with police.
Police said the suspect was located in a forested area in the coastal city of Herceg Novi after an overnight search and opened fire at officers before taking his own life.
The incident began Monday evening when police were alerted to the discovery of three bodies at a shooting range in Danilovgrad, northwest of the capital Podgorica.
The Montenegrin government declared Tuesday and Wednesday national days of mourning. The start of the school year in Danilovgrad was postponed until Thursday. ■
