BRATISLAVA, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Residential property prices in Slovakia rose by 13.6 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, marking the sixth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth, the Slovak Statistics Office said on Monday.
Compared with the first quarter of this year, property prices increased by 1.4 percent. Prices of existing properties rose 14.3 percent year-on-year, while prices of new properties increased by 10 percent.
Year-on-year increases in transaction prices were recorded across all eight regions of Slovakia. The Bratislava Region registered the strongest growth, with prices rising 16.2 percent, followed by the Banska Bystrica Region, where prices increased by 12.4 percent, according to the statistics office. ■
