BRATISLAVA, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia's industrial producer prices for the domestic market rose by 2.7 percent year-on-year in July 2026, Slovak Statistics Office reported on Thursday.
As many as 15 of the 16 monitored industrial sectors recorded price increases in July. Producer prices in the food manufacturing sector declined by 2.8 percent year-on-year, making it as the only sector to see a price drop since the beginning of the year.
The price growth was driven in particular by the production of coke and oil products (up 17.5 percent), electric appliances (8.4 percent) and metals (3.5 percent).
In the first seven months of 2026, meanwhile, industrial producer prices were 1.3 percent higher than the year before, while they went up by 1.8 percent in monthly terms. ■
