MOSCOW, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 19 others injured in Ukrainian attacks on several Russian regions, local authorities said on Wednesday.
A man and a 14-year-old were killed and two women injured after a drone strike triggered a house fire in the Lipetsk region, Governor Igor Artamonov said.
In the Belgorod region, a woman was killed in a drone attack in the Grayvoronsky district, acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev said, adding that another 12 people were injured in seven other districts.
Two people were wounded by window fragments from a downed drone in the Voronezh region, while another man was injured by falling drone debris in the Tula region, according to local officials.
In Tambov region, regional Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov said 16 drones had been destroyed, yet another three drones managed to strike a local warehouse. The strike sparked a fire and left two people injured.
The Russian Defense Ministry said early Wednesday that its air defenses had intercepted 426 Ukrainian drones overnight over several Russian regions. ■
