MOSCOW, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft has removed fuel purchase limits at its network of gas stations in Moscow, St. Petersburg and 11 other regions, the company's gas station network said on Tuesday.
As reported by TASS news agency, the company said that motorists can now purchase fuel in any required volume, either directly for vehicle tanks or fuel containers.
Russia has experienced nationwide fuel shortages this summer following repeated Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. The attacks have prompted temporary fuel restrictions as Russian authorities seek to stabilize supplies. ■
