MOSCOW, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and at least 40 others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Arkhipo-Osipovka, a Black Sea resort village in Russia's Krasnodar region, on Monday, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, which cited the regional emergency response center.
Three children were among the dead, regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said in an earlier update.
Local authorities initially reported three people killed and 13 injured. The casualty figures were revised several times as officials updated incoming information.
Arkhipo-Osipovka is part of the Gelendzhik municipality on Russia's Black Sea coast, an area that has seen intensified military activity and attacks recently. ■
