ATHENS, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Two American tourists were injured in a knife attack at the entrance to the Acropolis archaeological site in Athens on Tuesday morning, police said.
The attack occurred at around 8:05 a.m. (0505 GMT), when a 60-year-old man allegedly attacked a Greek-American couple, according to Greek national broadcaster ERT. The woman suffered a minor hand injury, while the man sustained a more serious leg injury.
The suspect was arrested by the police. ■
