LONDON, July 19 (Xinhua) -- A man in his 60s was injured in a shooting in the Irish city of Limerick on Sunday afternoon, Irish police said.
Police responded to reports of a firearm being discharged on Hyde Road at around 4:30 p.m. (1530 GMT). The injured man was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
An investigation is underway. ■
