MOSCOW, July 9 (Xinhua) -- One civilian was killed and four others were wounded in the Donetsk region on Thursday as a result of multiple drone attacks, said regional leader Denis Pushilin.
The regional head specified that a watchman was killed in Novoazovsk when Ukrainian forces struck an industrial facility with an attack drone.
In the village of Temryuk within the Donetsk urban district, a man sustained moderate injuries in a Ukrainian drone strike. Another man was hurt when a drone targeted a passenger car on the Donetsk-Mariupol highway near the village of Kremenivka in the Volodarsky municipal district. Two people suffered wounds in Volnovakha when an explosive device detonated while they were carrying out household work.
"Medical assistance is being provided to all the injured," Pushilin added.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the on-duty air defense system intercepted and destroyed 152 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Moscow Time over its territories. ■
