LONDON, July 5 (Xinhua) -- A man in his 40s was killed in a shooting in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin, on Sunday morning, Irish police said.
The shooting occurred at around 8:30 a.m. at Patrician Park on Kill Avenue, according to An Garda Siochnna, Ireland's national police service.
The man's body remained at the scene pending a post-mortem examination. The area was cordoned off for a forensic examination, while road closures and local diversions were put in place.
Investigations are still underway. ■
