BERLIN, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Germany has registered a new all-time high temperature for the third consecutive day, with the temperature reaching 41.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon, German Press Agency (dpa) reported, citing the German Weather Service (DWD).

The temperature was measured in Neissemuende, a municipality in the eastern German state of Brandenburg, according to the report.

The latest reading came after Germany had already set new national temperature records on the previous two days.

The DWD registered 41.3 degrees Celsius in the western city of Saarbruecken on Friday, surpassing the previous record. On Saturday, 41.5 degrees Celsius was measured in the eastern community of Moeckern-Drewitz, setting a new national record.
