GENEVA, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The planned talks among the United States, Iran, Qatar and Pakistan scheduled for Friday in the Swiss resort of Burgenstock have been postponed, said the Swiss Foreign Ministry.

"Switzerland remains ready to facilitate these talks. The relevant preparatory work at Burgenstock is continuing," it said in a statement.

The initial negotiations on the implementation of the interim peace deal between the United States and Iran had been scheduled for Friday.

Lebanese broadcaster Al Mayadeen, citing sources, reported on Thursday that the Iranian negotiating delegation had canceled its planned trip to Switzerland due to the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon.

The White House also announced on Thursday that U.S. Vice President JD Vance's trip to Switzerland for talks with Iran had been postponed as plans for the talks "have not been finalized."
