THE HAGUE, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Two children and an adult were killed in a traffic accident on Thursday afternoon near Ter hole village in Zeeland Province, the Netherlands, local media reported. Four other children were seriously injured.
According to Dutch regional broadcaster Omroep Zeeland, the accident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. (1130 GMT) when a passenger car crashed into a group of 14 children and two supervisors who were taking part in a school camp cycling activity.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash and are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that may assist the inquiry. ■
