MOSCOW, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Russian forces launched strikes on ammunition and fuel depots as well as transport and energy infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian Defense Ministry said Tuesday.
The Russian Armed Forces also struck temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas, the ministry said.
Air defense systems shot down nine guided aerial bombs, two rockets fired from the U.S.-made HIMARS rocket system, and 551 fixed-wing drones, the ministry added. ■
