KIEV, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Visiting German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said Monday that Germany and Ukraine plan to jointly produce drones with a strike range of up to 1,500 kilometers, the Ukrinform news agency reported.
Speaking at a press conference after talks with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Pistorius said Berlin supports the creation of joint ventures between German and Ukrainian companies.
"This, of course, applies in particular to the joint development and production of drones with various ranges -- from less than 100 km to 1,500 km," he said.
Pistorius arrived in Kiev earlier Monday on an unannounced visit. ■
