BERLIN, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Multiple suspects and hostages are involved in an ongoing hostage-taking at a bank branch in the town of Sinzig, western Germany, local media DPA reported Friday, citing police.
One of the hostages is reportedly the driver of a cash transport vehicle. "The situation is currently static," the police said, adding that a massive operation is underway.
There is no threat to the public outside the restricted zone, the report added. ■
