BRATISLAVA, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Russian oil supplies to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline resumed early Thursday after a suspension of nearly three months, Slovak Minister of Economy Denisa Sakova said.
Oil deliveries restarted at around 2 a.m. local time (0000 GMT) and are proceeding in line with the approved schedule, Sakova said in a post on social media, according to the News Agency of the Slovak Republic.
Earlier reports said Ukraine had provided the transit plan to Slovakia's state-run pipeline operator Transpetrol on Wednesday.
The Druzhba pipeline had been out of operation since Jan. 27, when it was damaged amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, halting oil flows to both Slovakia and Hungary. ■
