ZAGREB, April 22 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed in an explosion late Tuesday in the southern Croatian city of Split.
The blast occurred at around 10:40 p.m. local time (2040 GMT) in the underpass under Domovinski Rat Street in the Ravne Njive neighborhood of Split, local media reported Wednesday.
The identity of the victim remains unknown. And the area has been cordoned off.
An on-site investigation is underway to determine the cause of the explosion.
Following the investigation conducted by the police, authorities stated on Wednesday that there are currently "no elements of a criminal offense" suspected in the incident. ■
