SARAJEVO, April 18 (Xinhua) -- The 27th International Economy Fair Mostar concluded on Saturday in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH), in the efforts to diversify and modernize regional economy.

It's one of the major trade fairs in the Western Balkans. Running from April 14 to 18, this year's fair covered a wide range of sectors including energy, tourism, agriculture and emerging technologies, bringing together around 900 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.

Borjana Kristo, chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, said that the event is one of the most significant regional gatherings and a platform for new business ideas and international cooperation.

A delegation of Chinese companies took part in the fair, presenting achievements in telecommunications, green energy, infrastructure and agricultural machinery.

Chinese Ambassador to BiH Li Fan said the fair serves as a platform to enhance mutual understanding and expand cooperation between China, BiH and Western Balkan countries, adding that China stands ready to deepen high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic described the fair as a reference economic event in the wider region and highlighted strong economic cooperation between Croatia and BiH.
