MOSCOW, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed in a road accident early Sunday in Russia's western Saratov region, local authorities said.
The collision occurred at 6:39 a.m. local time (0239 GMT) near a village in the Krasnoarmeysky district, according to the security department of the Saratov regional government.
Preliminary reports showed that a truck collided with a VAZ-2110 passenger car, killing four people in the car, the statement said.
Emergency services are currently working at the scene, and the accident is under investigation. ■
