PARIS, April 10 (Xinhua) -- A teenage girl was stabbed on Friday at a high school in Ancenis-Saint-Gereon, in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France, local media reported.
According to RTL France, the victim suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
The attack was carried out by another student at the same school and was described as stemming from a "personal dispute," RTL France reported, citing the Loire-Atlantique prefecture.
The suspect was initially restrained by teaching staff before being arrested and taken into police custody, the prefecture added. ■
