MINSK, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed Alexander Terekhov as deputy prime minister in charge of construction and transport, local media reported Thursday.
Lukashenko told Terekhov that it is necessary to have solid, dependable roads from agrotowns to district capitals and preferably in reinforced concrete.
Prior to his appointment, Terekhov served as head of the state production association Minskstroy. Before that, he led the Ministry of Housing and Utilities for several years. ■
