MOSCOW, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Russian air defense downed at least 14 drones heading toward Moscow on Saturday, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"Emergency services personnel are working at the site where the drone debris fell," Sobyanin said on Telegram.

Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were imposed for flight safety reasons at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport and Domodedovo Airport, said Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said 10 guided aerial bombs and 285 fixed-wing drones were shot down by air defense systems in the past day.

It added that Russian forces launched a massive overnight strike on enterprises of Ukraine's military-industrial complex, energy infrastructure facilities and military airfields.
