MOSCOW, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Russia's seaport capacity will increase by more than 175 million tonnes by 2030 compared with 2021, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev said Monday.
Savelyev said the expansion is part of a government-approved roadmap aimed at increasing freight traffic along international transport corridors by 1.5 times by 2030 from the 2021 level.
The roadmap envisages the development of infrastructure across five major corridors, including the north-south international transport corridor, the Azov-Black Sea route and the east route, he said.
According to official forecasts, exports and transit of fuel and energy products are expected to rise by 25 percent by 2030, while agricultural exports are projected to grow by 74 percent and industrial exports by 24 percent. ■
