MOSCOW, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Russia says its forces struck energy facilities supporting Ukraine's military, as well as over 140 deployment sites for Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries over the past day.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, air defense systems also shot down nine guided aerial bombs, four U.S.-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 220 fixed-wing drones.
Over the past week, Russian forces captured four settlements, encompassing Grafskoye in the Kharkiv region, Karpovka in the Donetsk region, Krasnoznamyenka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Rizdvyanka in the Zaporizhzhia region, it said. ■
