WARSAW, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Poland's economy is expected to enter a "year of faster growth" in 2026, with investment projected to rise by nearly 10 percent as the government focuses on sustaining growth through infrastructure spending, innovation, and advancements in science and technology, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Wednesday.

Addressing business leaders and investors at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Tusk noted that preliminary data showed Poland's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.6 percent in 2025, placing the country among the economies with faster growth in the European Union.

He emphasized that this performance was achieved amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and reflected strengthened macroeconomic fundamentals. Tusk attributed the positive outcome to renewed investment momentum, improved investor confidence, and sound economic management.

The prime minister also noted that the stock exchange had recorded its strongest growth of the century, adding that Poland enjoys strong confidence from both domestic and foreign investors.
