KIEV, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Thursday urged the country's partners to urgently supply PAC-3 interceptor missiles to help protect Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported.

Speaking at the opening of the 33rd meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Brussels, Fedorov said PAC-3 missiles are the most effective means to counter ballistic threats and called on partners to transfer the interceptors from their stockpiles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday also stressed the need for faster deliveries of Patriot missiles.

He said on Telegram that Ukraine was attacked overnight by 219 drones and 25 missiles, including 24 ballistic missiles, adding that most of them were neutralized, but not all.
