MOSCOW, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Tuesday that it has detained a foreign national who allegedly plotted a bomb attack on an energy infrastructure facility in the Moscow region at the orders of Ukrainian intelligence.
"A citizen of a foreign state, born in 1996, was detained in Moscow. The individual was involved in preparing a sabotage and terrorist act on the instructions of a Ukrainian terrorist organisation banned in Russia, which acts in the interests of Ukrainian intelligence services," the FSB said in a statement.
"Seized from the detainee was a ready-for-use fragmentation device containing 5 kg of explosive material, as well as a mobile phone with his correspondence with the handler regarding preparations for the sabotage and terrorist act," the FSB added. ■
